Entry Level Driver Training - Seamless Learning in the Real World

This is a good example of how technology can do more than just improve learning outcomes, it can give people more confidence in themselves and their organization. The ELDT course is required for all entry level bus drivers and requires a comprehensive pre-trip inspection. The original course was a manual and powerpoint that was not very engaging or easily accessible from home.  

With the upgrade to Articulate, we could do some great things to make the learning process seamless. I created a multimedia gallery of all of the required bus components and embedded a recording of drivers required script. Then, I created a 360 Virtual Tour of the inside of the bus. Finally, the course was fully integrated into Canvas. The new course can be completed anywhere, including with a mobile device or phone, and student progress can be tracked via Canvas. It's the perfect marriage of technology and convenience.
