Making textbooks irrelelvant with Google Sites.

Google Sites is one of those things that I'm surprised isn't more popular. It's a super convenient way to publish web-based materials with practically zero learning curve. With the World in French, I wanted to give the students a platform to put some self- guided metacognitive strategies in place. The adopted textbook was a non-starter for engagement or for promoting self-direction. With a Google Site, I could host all of my instructional material, multimedia, and interactive activities in one place. It gives more control over the flow of learning and allows for artistic customization beyond the most popular LMS products out there.

Try it out for yourself! You might learn some French.
