I got invited to speak at this conference for language teachers in Illinois. It was a chance to share my expereince teaching with fully immersive virtual reality technology.
My theme was "Plan for Adventure". Teaching with a technology like VR gives rise to all sorts of wonderful learning experiences. It can also be a minefield of hangups, setbacks, and hiccups.
The great thing about doing a pilot study is being a pioneer in the field of VR technology and getting to relate that experience with my fellow educators. It is definitely a fail to plan plan to fail scenario.
