AI for Everyone

How do you underake such a heady challenge as training seasoned professionals on the game-changing technolog that is artificial intelligence?      

Answer:  Go slowly, walk softly, and carry a very big set of Instructional Design skills.

This course represents a big challenge for both technical and design concerns.  The technical: this organization does not employ the industry standard tools for creating interactive training systems like Articulate and Captivate.  We had a very limited set of tools to choose from to create a training course that would be impactful, accessible, and engaging.   This course is actually built in Google Slides, which means it took some pretty clever planning and design work to make it seemlessly clickable, interactive, and multimedia.      

The design side challenges were all about sharing a new technology, covering the basics of how it works, pointing out the security concerns, and showcasing the best practices all without overwhelming our target audience of seasoned public education teachers and admins.  The results have led to some great examples of adoption and integration of AI-powered tools by even our most tech hesitant educators.
