Implementing VR into the classroom was a first-of-its kind research study and a once-in -a-career opportunity. Through a research partnership with the Department of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas and Immerse, a VR native language learning app, we were able to put a state of the art Meta Quest 2 VR headset in the hands of every French student at Cleburne High School.
The research data gave valuable insight on the use of VR technology in the classroom, and the effect on student engagement was nothing short of magical.
